It's December 24th. Wow, I get buried into my work sometimes... Please forgive me... I was working 12 hours a day, 6 days a week in downtown LA. It only took me 2 and a half hours to get there and an hour to get home, not leaving me much time for.... well, you know.... I got a wicked bad case of the flu last week with a special strep throat frosting.... but i started a new job, again.... so I am sure things will get better....
But I want to make a special holiday wish for you and everyone in your circle of loved ones, may you all have a happy and joyous holiday!
It's July 31rst. I got laid off at work yesterday. I went home and kind of goofed off for the day. I went for a bike ride and wondered. What do I want to do with my life when I grow up? It was nice to wonder these grand questions about life. But when it's all said and done, it comes down to I need a job. So I get to start searching for my new dream job.
It's April 15th. I have survived a road trip to Sedona and actually got my taxes done before the deadline. I am getting a decent refund, but I didn't really make much last year. In dollars, that is. I did make a lot as far as spiritual and emotional strength goes, though. It's been almost a year and a half since the divorce thang. Strength is something that you have to work at.
It's March 11th. I had some bad financial news earlier this month and got caught up in trying to find a way to fix the situation. And I got seriously sick just before the last recording session for Alone. Lots of problems. I guess all my hate and pain songs are coming from somewhere... Lisa sings the blues... I hope I am past most of it
Today is February 24th. I am booked for recording session number two. It really is so much easier to have someone else do the sound, while I concentrate on just performing. It is also kind of nice to have someone else with a little more experience and perspective do the sound.
Today is February 5th. I am mostly caught up on my news entries. I really haven't had much going on in the last few weeks. I am so busy at work. I hope to have them caught up soon, so I can get back to having some time for me!
Today, it is January 29th! Who knows where the time goes? Isn't that a song, also? Anyways, I am so sorry for not getting back to updating my place here. I will be updating as much as I can. But yes I am back. I am semi-settled (kind of like semi-sweet... why am I craving chocolate?) into my life in California. I've been working 12 hour days since my arrival on December 11th, but just finished a week of 10 hour days, so I am trying to get my world caught up. I will be updating my little diary / blog and see I can catch up to the present in the near future. I also want to try and squeeze some recording time before I get out and start playing my music for the fine people of California. I will keep you updated. Again, I am so sorry for the delay here, but my life is falling back into place, so please do check back. Things look like they could get pretty interesting!
Today is Thursday, November 23rd, about midnight. Happy Thanksgiving! I just updated some more journal entries. It has been a whirlwind couple of weeks! But the good news is that I am moving. To California! Yah! To the land of sunny beaches and sunsets over the ocean. I'll try to give a good update in my journal. Wish me luck on the move, things are moving way fast. But it seems like the universe is providing for me and laying out a path that I just cannot refuse. I guess I have to follow this path!
Today is Monday, November 13th, about 11:00 pm. I just updated some journal entries to about November 13th. I am getting very close to moving. I am hoping that California will be my destination, and hopefully I can keep my place here in Sedona long enough to finish the semester and maybe even stay a little longer here as a placeholder until I am sure of my new destination as being permanent.
Today is Monday, November 6th, about 1:30 am. I just updated some journal entries to about October 27th. I will update more when I can. I drove to California last week and it looks pretty promising there. I got a job offer last Friday in Huntington Beach and am considering seeing if I can hold him off for a few days until I hear about a nice possibility in San Diego. I am so tired from working all these jobs and never having enough time time for my music. I am holding on to hopes that I can find one job that will pay my bills and allow me some time for proper sleep and getting back to my music. It looks like the time is getting close for that. I hope so...
Today is Wednesday, October 18th, and it is cold here in Northern Arizona. I have been looking at relocating lately, and am looking at Seattle and San Diego. Seattle could be cold and wet, but the music scene there could be a nice plus there. San Diego's music scene would be okay, but the beach and the warmth would be a big plus there.
